North Cheshire Clarion is a British Cycling Clubmark accredited Go-Ride cycling club based in Warrington.
The Club was named National British Cycling Go-Ride Club of the Year 2015.
The Junior section is open to children aged 6 to 16 and aims to provide bike-handling, core cycling and group riding techniques in a fun environment through structured coaching sessions and social events and rides.
We offer coaching in a range of cycling disciplines, such as road, mountain bike, track and cyclocross, to provide a range of experience for our young riders and introduce riders to all aspects of the sport.
Whether you want to learn to ride a bike safely and proficiently or want to go on to compete, our aim is to provide the coaching and support you require to meet your goals.
What is Go-Ride?
Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
Getting involved is easy with your local Go-Ride Club where young people will be able to sample the various cycle sport disciplines and start enjoying one of the fastest growing sports in the UK today.
Go-Ride provides the first step onto the Performance Pathway – over 60% of riders on the Great Britain Cycling Team started out at Go-Ride Clubs.
What is Clubmark?
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs.
It stands for:
- Higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports club;
- Making sure the nation’s sports club infrastructure is safer, stronger and more successful
It shows that a club provides the right environment, which ensures the welfare of members and encourages everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
An accredited club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as helping parents and carers know that they’re choosing the right club for their young people.
NCC was awarded Clubmark accreditation in 2015.
